We believe that a satisfied client is one who has full knowledge of what we did in the course of a particular project. It could be that your company is looking for the upgradation of an existing or the commissioning of a new clinker cement plant. You might also have additional cement plant engineering requests, or your need for cement consultants could be related to something as routine as cement plant maintenance.

Whatever it is, we are transparent with HOW we came up with that information because we believe in a longstanding business relationship with clients. That means, going the extra mile, as KPL-Eng cement experts train you to be experts yourselves. It’s our way of offering excellent solutions to our clients and standing out from our competitors.

Feasibility Studies and Documentation

Everything starts with planning. A huge portion of our work will comprise of discussions, meetings, and paperwork to ensure optimum value for the budget allocated and after-work compliance to ensure the delivery of successful, timely, and cost-effective projects.

The feasibility studies ensure the presence of a robust market, meaning that the market can assimilate the projected production at its current and forecasted condition. It will guarantee the revenue of your cement plant following international standards.

Accordingly, the Scope of Work (SOW) is an agreement on the work to be performed on a project. It will state the problem to be hurdled. The timeline needs to be on point, and what better way for it to be than to plan a schedule of deliverables. The SOW should also specifically outline the goals and objectives of the agreement and/or the deliverables. The common stumbling block in a SOW is when quantitative factors are missing from the document.

Cement Production/Manufacturing

The feasibility study mentioned relate to the technical characteristics of the projects. We shall review the existing plant capacity and bottleneck issues which causing the production cost high and provide suitable solution for the same with latest technologies.

  • Detail investigation of plant site.
  • Study of detail investigation data, and shall forward the detail report and proposal of modification. we can submit item modification of improvement Kiln condition.
  • The report and proposal of modification item shall discuss with client.
  • To prepare technical data of basicsizing or schematic drawings for modification and submitting item modification , the main item modification is enlargement of Cyclone inlet or outlet duct or Dip Tube, modification of raw meal feed box, etc.
  • To check and approve on detail drawing prepared by client as per basic sizing based on SUZUKI consultant.
  • To prepare instruction notice or schematic drawing for client manufacturing, installation work as well as operation

Cement Plant Maintenance

The goal behind cement plant maintenance is to maintain a competitive edge and retain market share. Our cement experts will check all alternatives available for modernization, but will also propose replacement should all avenues of maintenance be exhausted.

Another goal of cement plant maintenance is to optimize existing capacity, adding a few extra tons of production owing to the improved crushing of raw metal and cement production, as well as modernization of kiln pyro- processing systems where needed.

Being independent from all equipment suppliers, KPL-Eng is able to elaborate a solution consisting of equipment that is suitable for the required technical tasks and expected capacities, while at the same time, appropriate for your budget.

Ultimately, these lead to the reduction of the overall operating cost, with all environmental effects and gaseous emissions carefully considered.

At the end of the day, all the tiniest details of what we learned through the experience of doing business together, your company can readily utilize for your own expertise.

This transfer of know-how gained from a longstanding business partnership is what will help us go beyond the forecasts onto a legacy of a productive and clean community for generations to come.

That is what it means to be cement experts.

Computational Fluid dynamics

Preheater System and Downcomer Duct :

Improving the fluid flow distribution through ducts and equipment, which increases efficiency and eliminate persistent maintenance cost. Oscillatory, high turbulent flow can lead to physical vibration problems and thermal stresses in the structure. Ducts because of poor design, may suffer from low efficiency due to air recirculation, flow separation & high turbulence intensity. The recommended modifications in duct provide a significant improvement in minimizing the turbulent and flow separation regions which in turn results in reduction in pressure drop. Planned maintenance shut down have already shown excellent vane performance those were used to optimize flow through the duct.

ESP Analysis for Cement Industries :

Proper flow through an ESP is critical to optimal performance, as evidenced by many case studies. Improper flow can result in high opacity, unwanted dust buildup and erosion. Because of poor flow distribution through an ESP collector plates high velocity regions caused particle momentum to overcome electrostatic forces, resulting in suboptimal capture efficiency.

Combustion Analysis in Kilns & Calciner

Modern cement plants have Calciner to increase the productivity of the plant. Inside Caliciner have a strong endothermic reaction known as the calcination process, and another process is the combustion of pulverized solid fuels.

By CFD analysis pulverized fuel particles injection & trajectories can be optimized because it directly affects the energy consumption.

In Kiln major problem of the erosion of the castables & Flame length propagation & Emissions from the kiln.

Mech-well provides the solution by studying the various aspects of in Kilns & Calciners

  • Theoretical & excess air requirement for Complete combustion
  • Injection of coal particles & trajectories
  • Cause of erosion of the Castables
  • Flow from the Kiln to Calciner
  • Velocity propagation inside Kiln & Calciner
  • effect of various Coal Blending on combustion
  • Study of Particle residual time inside Calciner
  • Secondary Combustion areas
  • Study of pollutant emissions
